After more than a year spent at home, we have been dreaming about a Caribbean vacation. Dave and I have had the opportunity to visit many Caribbean Islands. It would be great to share some of our favorite Caribbean Islands to inspire your wanderlust.
Winter on the Caribbean Islands: Beautiful Places to Visit
Our winter playground is the Caribbean. Canadians love to fly to the islands for white sand beaches and beautiful weather. We’ve compiled a list of the most stunning Caribbean Islands to inspire you. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Lucia
With its two UNESCO World Heritage-designated Pitons, St. Lucia is undoubtedly the most beautiful Caribbean island. Two volcanic plugs of mountainous volcanic origin, the Petit and Gros Pitons, are vital to the island’s beauty. This is the best choice for couples and honeymooners who want to travel to the Caribbean. Beautiful beaches, lush jungles, and private villas are along the coast.
These two stunning resorts are worth a look if you’re looking for a private villa in St. Lucia. Calabash Cove, a boutique luxury all-inclusive resort that caters only to adults, is located in the heart of. It was everything you could want in a romantic getaway. We enjoyed our stay. Stonefield Villas Resort offers stunning views of the Petit Piton. It is owned and operated locally and was the first resort to open near Soufriere.
Jamaica
Jamaica is, without a doubt, our favorite Caribbean island. It is second only to Jamaica among the most beautiful Caribbean Islands. The beaches of Jamaica are amazing. From the 7-mile Negril Beach to the private Treasure Beach South to the famous Montego Bay beaches, Jamaica offers it all: dense jungles and rocky sea cliffs with waterfalls and white sand.
Where to Stay in Jamaica
Exuma Cays Bahamas
We were stunned by the stunning scene below when we flew over the Exumas in the Bahamas. The Bahamas’ Exuma Cays are made up of 365 islands and atolls in the middle of gin-blue waters. There are 176 miles of clear, pristine waters. Although technically part of the Atlantic, the Exumas are often grouped with the Caribbean Islands. We needed to include our favorite island paradise to complete this list. You can swim with sharks and meet the resident pigs at the Exumas. At Major Cay, you can also snorkel in the incredible Thunderball Grotto, which feels like a fishbowl. Embrace Resorts is a beautiful place to stay on Staniel Cay. This is a great place to escape with your partner in the Exumas.
Cayman Islands
The Cayman Islands is one of the most popular places to scuba dive in the Caribbean. They are also some of the most beautiful Caribbean Islands we have ever seen. It has its own Seven Mile Beach, where you can walk miles on the white sand that leads to turquoise waters. Clear waters are a hallmark of the Cayman Islands. Cayman Trench, a deep drop wall dive, allows for diving in clear waters and unlimited visibility. It was wonderful. We stayed at the Ritz Grand Cayman, located on Seven Mile Beach. The Cayman Islands is the best place to spend a lot on Caribbean vacations.
Cozumel
Mexico is one of our favorite Caribbean destinations, and the Island of Cozumel can be found just off the coast of the Caribbean Sea. Palancar Reef is the best place to dive in Cozumel. It is the second-largest coral island in the world. It is a must-see on any Mexican vacation. The turquoise waters and world-class diving make it a top choice. It is a great idea to visit Isla Ballestas, another island paradise. You can swim in the clear blue waters or book a tour to see whale Sharks passing through.
Cuba
Havana is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in the Caribbean. The streets are lined with pastel-colored buildings and classic cars. It is a popular vacation spot for Canadians because of its beautiful beaches, historical cities, and lush forest. Although Cuba has faced its fair share of problems, it is still a wonderful island, and the people are some of the most friendly in the Caribbean. You’ll fall in love with Cuba if you book a Casa Particular and rent a bike to explore the island.
